What Do You Want from Microsoft’s Acquisition of Linkedin?

In Business Model Management, Featured, Industry News

Microsoft acquires LinkedIn 500x500So Microsoft will acquire LinkedIn. Makes a lot of sense for Microsoft and also for the LinkedIn shareholders, but maybe less sense for the LinkedIn front-office staff.  Losing your independence is always a worry.

I am not going to speculate what Microsoft’s reasons are, but I am starting to think about how I can benefit from this new combination.

Will they make the combination of Office365 and LinkedIn so strong that I will move from Apple mail/calendar/contacts to Outlook? Will I drop Sidekick from Hubspot and use a new MLI service instead? Will they integrate OneDrive with LinkedIn making me drop Dropbox and iCloud?

Microsoft has made this acquisition to offer all of us better services. What do you think we can expect and what would you like to see from this new combination?
