Continia Acquires Akeyto
Continia Software a/s (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Akeyto Aps (Copenhagen, Denmark) have announced that they have entered into an agreement under which Continia will acquire Akeyto, a leading provider of document and invoice management for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Tommy Olesen, Akeyto CEO, becomes partial shareholder of Continia, member of the Board and Product Manager for the “Document Capture” solution.
The acquisition is a natural step after the development over the last 18 months of an excellent partnership and business relationship between Continia and Akeyto.
Akeyto was launched in Denmark 2010 by Tommy Olesen who wanted to revolutionize how organizations capture and manage documents within their Microsoft Dynamics NAV financial software through the development of the “Document Capture” solution. In March 2011 Akeyto and Continia entered into a partnership to sell Document Capture in Denmark. The partnership has proven to be very successful with more than 200 companies having started using Document Capture over the last two years.
”All shareholders in Continia look forward to having Tommy as part of Continia as a shareholder and employee. Acquiring Akeyto and Document Capture is a natural step forward because our products are complementary and work really well together. Continia are positioned as a strong provider of Microsoft Dynamics NAV add-ons for organizations all over the world” said Lars Bundgaard Sorensen, Chairman, Continia.
Continia already have several high quality Microsoft Dynamics NAV “add-on” solutions for bank account integration, payments and reconciliation as well as debtor collection management. More than 3,000 Microsoft Dynamics NAV customers are using one or more Continia products today.
The acquisition of Akeyto underscores the commitment to deliver high quality solutions that businesses using Microsoft Dynamics NAV need and people in those businesses appreciate in making their day to day tasks easier.
”After 18 months of a fantastic partnership with Henrik Laerke and Continia I’m very excited to enter Continia as a Board member and Product Manager for Document Capture. Being part of a bigger organization gives me the opportunity to focus on the things that I enjoy the most – managing the product development of Document Capture and building a strong international partner channel for it” said Tommy Olesen, Akeyto.
Focus on international growth
During the coming years Continia expect Document Capture to become the market leader for capturing and managing documents and invoices for Microsoft Dynamics NAV businesses. Document Capture is now available in a number of countries where distributors and partners can implement and support Document Capture in country-specific versions.
Having “best of breed” add-ons for Payment Management and Collection Management in Denmark for many years, Continia also plan to market these add-ons in other countries together with Document Capture.
”I’m very happy to welcome Tommy as a shareholder and Product Manager in Continia – we have an exciting future in front of us, and with Tommy we now have a stronger organization than ever. We look forward to continually adding functionality to our existing products and building a strong international partner channel together” said Henrik Laerke, CEO, Continia.
