Celenia Software Acquired by Project AX
Celenia Software, (Atlanta, GA, USA) a Microsoft Dynamics Consulting & Development Services provider, has announced its acquisition by Project AX (PAX).
PAX (Englewood, CO, USA) is a company formed with the goal of becoming a leading Microsoft Dynamics provider in the U.S. – a goal made tangible in large part due to the acquisition of the 125+ international Celenia team. The Atlanta-based Celenia will function as a separate entity within Project AX, continuing to conduct business as Celenia, with all aspects of its business of servicing Microsoft Dynamics ISVs and VARs continuing as usual. In addition to the Celenia acquisition, PAX simultaneously announced today its acquisition of Microsoft Dynamics Gold Certified partner, MBS Dev, formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of leading North American wholesale distributor of business products, United Stationers Inc.
“We are thrilled to be a part of Project AX,” says Karina Nielsen, CEO of Celenia Software. “Joining forces with Project AX will give us even greater access to resources in the U.S., which is key to our growth as a company and expanding the reach of our customers. This also presents an opportunity for our ISVs in terms of entering broader, global markets going forward. We will be able to introduce some very mature ISV solutions to the North American market, and provide them with the opportunity to work closely with a strong reselling partner here in the U.S.”
Nielsen, who has been with Celenia since 2002, will continue to lead the Celenia division of PAX as President. Business will continue as usual for the company’s Dynamics reseller customers, with PAX being one of their VAR customers. “We remain committed to our reselling customers with a business model of multiple partners that we have managed successfully for many years,” states Nielsen. “In this regard, Project AX becomes another one of the partners that we serve. The additional investment in our growth as part of Project AX benefits our reseller customers, as we will have even greater capacity to meet their needs.”
The symbiotic relationship between Celenia and PAX is highlighted by Project AX Co-founder and CEO Thomas Ajspur: “Bringing Celenia on board is crucial to establishing ourselves as a frontrunner in the Dynamics world. This strategic acquisition not only provides us with the most respected global delivery engine in the Dynamics community – with extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled resources – it also opens access to resellers in other countries for our newly acquired Dynamics AX distribution industry solution. Celenia’s experience, capacity and international presence will be our springboard to global expansion. We couldn’t be more excited.”
With 125+ developers focused on Microsoft Dynamics technologies, Celenia is known as the ‘partner’s partner’ within the Dynamics community. Celenia provides highly experienced application analysis, development, maintenance, customizations and upgrade services; supporting Microsoft Dynamics Partners around the globe in everything from Presales through Implementation and Go-Live. Celenia develops full product builds, from concept to solution launch and support, in close collaboration with their Dynamics ISV customers and Microsoft.
“This will prove to be a real turning point for Celenia,” remarks Nielsen. “The experienced Dynamics leadership and investment of Project AX puts us on a growth trajectory that is far greater than we could have achieved on our own. Thinking of our team, our customers and the partners we serve, there are huge upsides for all parties involved.”
“The Project AX leadership team has a well-earned reputation and a proven track record of success. Together with their solid business strategy we are thrilled with the benefits they offer Microsoft’s customers,” said Neil Holloway, Corporate Vice President, Sales & Partners. “With Project AX as a partner and given their recent acquisitions, they are well positioned to take advantage of the growing interest among enterprise customers looking to move onto Dynamics AX and CRM.”
