Radware Wins TMC’s 2011 Cloud Computing Excellence Award
Radware, (Mahwah, N.J., USA) a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, has announced that TMC, publishers of Cloud Computing magazine has named Radware’s ADC-VX™ application delivery controller (ADC) virtualization platform winner of its 2011 Cloud Computing Excellence Award.
Radware’s ADC-VX is the industry’s first ADC virtualization and consolidation technology, specifically designed to combine ADC hardware devices into fewer hardware units. Cloud service providers benefit from Radware ADC-VX’s functionality as a delivery model for on-demand ADC services that can be offered to their end-user customers. It enables real-time provisioning of virtual ADC (vADC) instances while ensuring the resilience and performance predictability needed to provide application delivery offerings backed with high service level agreements (SLAs). Radware’s ADC-VX also delivers fully isolated ADC services to support the cloud provider’s customer or their applications, in solutions containing the industry’s highest density of vADCs to support a wide range of cloud service cost models.
“Cloud providers are looking for cost-effective delivery models that enable them to serve dozens – sometimes hundreds – of customers, while ensuring high SLA for their applications,” said Nir Ilani, product marketing director, Application Delivery, Radware. “Radware’s ADC-VX is the only solution which allows cloud service providers to offer a dedicated cloud ADC service per customer, while not compromising on the SLA and performance, and while ensuring a low cost-per-cloud ADC instance.”
Radware’s ADC-VX enables the use of multiple, virtual ADCs on top of dedicated, specialized ADC hardware — Radware’s high-performing OnDemand Switch® platform. Using a specialized ADC hypervisor, this platform enables the ability to run multiple, virtual ADC services, each of which delivers ADC functionality just like a dedicated physical advanced ADC device. Each virtual ADC instance contains a complete and separated environment of resources, configurations and management including CPU, memory, network and acceleration resources.
“Our ADC-VX is designed to help our cloud provider customers achieve significant savings while enabling superior business agility to support dynamic network needs. Receiving the Cloud Computing Excellence Award is another proof point for Radware’s innovation in providing best-in-class virtual application delivery solutions for cloud providers, large enterprises, hosting and service providers,” Ilani said.
Radware’s ADC-VX is a key technology enabler for Radware’s Virtual Application Delivery Infrastructure (VADI®) strategy, which focuses on bringing full agility and efficiency of virtualization to application delivery solutions. Radware VADI is an architecture which transforms computing resources, as well as application delivery and virtualization services, into one integrated, scalable, on-demand application delivery infrastructure.
“Recognizing leaders in the advancement of cloud communications, TMC is proud to announce Radware as a recipient of the first Cloud Computing Excellence Award,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “Radware’s ADC-VX has demonstrated innovation as well as the ability to improve the cloud.”
