Zoomio files for bankruptcy

Zoomio (Copenhagen, Denmark) has filed for bankruptcy.  Zoomio, one of three danish e-mail and marketing automation platforms, was established in 2002 by Lars Munch Johansen.  Lars left Zoomio in June 2007 leaving the operational management to Per John Jensen. Per left the position as CEO in March 2011.

Zoomio was one of the pioneers in multi-channel-marketing-platforms and offered a broad range of services for marketing automation purposes. The company initially spend most of their own marketing effort educating the market about e-mail and multi-channel-marketing. The level of insight among marketing managers (outside the Internet based industry) into on-line marketing concepts was a major barrier to market acceptance for the company.  From 2004 Zoomio and their closest competitor Globase ran hundred of seminars educating the market about on-line marketing concepts.

The court of Copenhagen is currently negotiating with potential buyers of the IP and the customer base.

Zoomio has offices in Denmark, The Netherlands and Germany.
