Danish NNIT responsible for the future operation of Coop’s SAP platform

NNIT2Coop Danmark A/S and NNIT A/S have recently signed an agreement which gives NNIT responsibility for the future operation of Coop’s SAP platform. The agreement will run for the next five years and is worth an amount in the double-digit million range. Under the new agreement, NNIT will be an important vendor for “sCoop”, which is the name of Coop’s new SAP programme and is one of Denmark’s largest ERP implementations. The programme is one of many initiatives in Coop’s 2015 strategy, the aim of which is to optimise and simplify business processes and IT systems in order to make Coop’s work procedures more efficient.

“We have signed the agreement with NNIT following a tendering process in which six qualified IT vendors chose to submit tenders. In the end, Coop chose NNIT because, among other things, they were able to deliver the right quality at the right price and because of their in-depth knowledge of and experience in the implementation and operation of business-critical SAP systems, which is also an important parameter for Coop. I am looking forward to the collaboration and we have high expectations of NNIT,” says CIO René Munk-Nissen, Coop.

Facts about the agreement between Coop and NNIT

The agreement means that NNIT is to deliver the IT infrastructure for Coop’s new SAP systems and take care of the operation and support of the technical elements of the SAP systems (SAP Basis) on behalf of Coop.
