Indian IRIS Unified Technologies acquired by the German COMPAREX Group

The COMPAREX Group (Leipzig, Germany) has taken another strategic step forward in pursuit of its international growth strategy by acquiring Indian software consulting and technology services specialist IRIS Unified Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

The acquisition, closed on October 14th, follows the foundation by COMPAREX of an Indian subsidiary in Delhi earlier this year as part of its expansion in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. It is planned that IRIS will operate under the COMPAREX brand. The new company will focus on leveraging the significant potential of the Indian market for the COMPAREX Group. IRIS Managing Director Navin Kapur and his leadership team will continue to head the merged Indian organization with more than 70 employees.

Alongside the classic field of software procurement and consulting, IRIS will provide maintenance, professional services, remote management, security services and IT trainings. It will also seek to expand their portfolio of services by leveraging COMPAREX’s 30 year history of providing data centre services. Founded in 2001, IRIS Unified Technology Pvt. Ltd. maintains strategic partnerships with world market leaders, including Microsoft, Symantec, HP, IBM, Cisco, EMC2, Radware, Juniper, Websense, Stonesoft, Trend Micro, etc., and serves 400 clients that include a diverse range of Fortune and SME companies.

Dr. Klaus Elsbacher, CEO at the COMPAREX Group

»I’m very happy to welcome IRIS and Navin Kapur to our team. Their portfolio and market position are the perfect fit for our company. With this addition, we will be able to fulfill two approaches to growth: we can expand our position in a newly established market and we will do so by investing in an acquisition. The third approach, i.e. the gradual development of a standardized portfolio at all subsidiaries within the Group, will be next on our agenda in India« says Dr. Klaus Elsbacher, CEO of COMPAREX. »Again, I want to stress my belief that India has the potential to evolve into the third-largest subsidiary within our Group. Now, we have come one step closer to achieving this target.«

In May 2011, COMPAREX Group evolving from PC-Ware Information Technologies AG announced the global rebranding of all entities under the COMPAREX brand. The single-brand approach is designed to support the company’s three-dimensional growth strategy.
